Moral : Teachers, students, community

I bet, I have least readers when I choose this title! There is a question before the first sentence actually, DO I ACTUALLY HAVE READERS?? hahaha. Well, I totally doubt it, but before my mood turns melancholy, therefore I choose to think that I have thousands of readers like you guys have! hehe. So that, I've more confidence while writing this issue. Its a short entry, because I believe the longer I write, the worse it can be. I glance to Facebook news feed, I read many things, and there are few of those that makes me feel uncomfortable with.  Bare in mind, I have written something on the sidebars, I am not a decent one, therefore my writing and point of view might be different from others. Also, I wrote this, doesn't mean that I am good, or perfect or what so ever it is. I am no good, but at least I wrote this to show that I am sensitive to the things that happened around nowadays!

How morally decades our community is? I bet some of us, have seen a video clip in Youtube featuring a teacher, miming songs and makes us laugh and entertained! Or two boys smacking an old man-a beggar in front of the crowd, or maybe, the latest clip is a couple kissing at Pavilion. If you haven't seen it yet, I think, technology makes everything easy right now. Get what I mean?

There are various perspective when it comes to these issues. Some says, there's nothing wrong about it, some says that, maybe its okay, and some might think that there's nothing wrong at all.. I, too, have my own opinion and mine is a bit conservative. I have a thought of an old man, yeah I know, Kuala Lumpur has failed to modernize my view.

You see, I was upset because those videos were uploaded in youtube. Why? What's wrong? My answer is as simple as : that shows how dreadful our moral is. Sorry to say, people nowadays are "too" shy to show that. To me, when I say the word "too" I am referring to this.. Or, in the opposite meaning of the adjective itself. You see, learning is a lifetime process, life itself is a teacher. But sometimes, you'll find the real teachers as in schools, college or even university. They educate people/students. I link you the some of it in case, you really wanna know, the real definition of each word. It is important to understand those words that I stressed because that is the reason, I feel upset about the situation. To educate someone, doesn't mean that you teach them how to write, speak, and calculate. But the gist of education is to mold them to be a wholesome person. We have heard this poem about how vital teachers' roles are in molding students attitude. Allow me to quote :

Jika hari ini seorang Perdana Menteri berkuasa
Jika hari ini seorang Raja menaiki takhta
Jika hari ini seorang Presiden sebuah negara
Jika hari ini seorang ulama yang mulia
Jika hari ini seorang peguam menang bicara
Jika hari ini seorang penulis terkemuka
Jika hari ini siapa saja menjadi dewasa;
Sejarahnya dimulakan oleh seorang guru biasa
Dengan lembut sabarnya mengajar tulis-baca.

Again I am sorry, but, I wonder, what happen to the students if a teacher himself/herself not showing a good example to the students? Especially primary schools. They might not give comments like I do, but it change their perception of what is good and bad. The question is, is it wrong to do that (the videos)? In my deepest opinion, nope! there is nothing wrong of doing that IF you are not a teacher. Why? Because to their eyes, teachers are their role models! especially me! I valued teachers so much! That is why I am somehow, upset and pissed off when I see such things. When a teacher did something that they shouldn't do, the students might give us ample reasons why they (the students) do such things. Who is to be blamed?? Some says, everybody, or nobody, but honestly I am factual. So I say it is teacher's fault. You see, everybody has their own rights to do this and that, I know, I can even tell you more about human rights! Trust me, I am well versed in those human right issues. We may have the rights not to listen or care to what people say, but then again, is that the right thing to do? Even if it is for the sake of moral values we are willing to abandon others opinion? It is so obvious isn't it? that I am referring to one teacher. And I write a long one? Sorry but I think it affects me THHHHHHHAAAAAAAT MUCH! Try to look back, the reason of becoming a teacher at the very first place? You might want to entertain others but to me this isn't the right way. I met many teachers enjoys blogging to share their experience and knowledge to the rest of the world, and I think you should consider that too!

Ok, let us see the consequences of the act. I mentioned about 3 videos at the earliest part of this entry, the other two might be the result of the act. It is a combination of parents, teachers and community. It is what I can call negligence. Maybe, there is no exact correlation between those 3 videos but you get my point. In general, its true. I taught people once, sorry to say, I feel embarrassed and guilty to myself! Classroom are like football fields. Teachers are like friends ( the least of respect that they show to them) That's the fact. that is the reality. not entirely but I can say 50% of the students are like that. That is what happened in secondary schools. Why? because the the fundamental isn't strong enough in their primaries. Primary school isn't just teaching them how to read and write! TV can be a teacher then!

I am sorry but I was somehow pissed off. If it is not a teacher who do that, I might not be like this. the end.
